Please specify that some of these holdings are CEFs, not ETFs, and accordingly trade much differently.
I think that AOD is the most interesting CEF out there right now. No leverage and they're buying back shares. They are paying a 30% dividend for the last three months of 2008. I don't own it but I'm thinking that I will wait and see what they announce about the dividend in December. I don't imagine they will maintain it, but still even if it's cut 50% it will still be an excellent yield. Is AOD one of the CEF's you are waiting to dump or buy more? What do you think they will do?
Anon: In October, I more than doubled down on AOD. As described in Progress Update - November 2008, the AOD purchase was opportunistic. I fully expect a future dividend cut, but on the day I bought it, I believed the closed-end fund was trading at a significant discount to the underlying securities ($5.83 basis).
Hard to say where they are going. The last two conference calls were upbeat, given the market conditions. They have suffered dividend cuts, like the rest of us.
My allocation is maxed out, so I won't be adding anymore in the near-term.

Dear D4L
do you think CRF would be ok to buy now
Kaiser: I have never done a valuation of CFR, but just looking at its high dividend yield I would be suspect of it.
